Who we are
LOCKSMITH 24HR LTD is a company registered in England and Wales (company number 17514756), with its registered office at Stafford Road, Croydon, England, CR0 4NG. We are the controller of the personal data described in this policy. You can contact us at locksmith24hr.ltd@gmail.com or on +44 7900 530188.
What data we collect
This website has no contact forms or accounts. When you contact us by phone, WhatsApp or email we collect the details you give us, which may include your name, phone number, email address, the address of the property and details of the work you need.
Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, processes technical information such as your IP address in order to deliver the website and keep it secure. We also use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits. It works without cookies and gives us totals only (visits, country, device type and referring page), not information that identifies you. Our lawful basis for this is our legitimate interest in running a secure website and understanding how much it is used.
If you accept cookies, Google Analytics and Google Ads also collect information about your visit, such as your approximate location, device type, the pages you view, whether you tap the call or WhatsApp buttons and whether you arrived from one of our adverts. Our lawful basis for this is your consent, which you can withdraw at any time. See our Cookie Policy.
Why we use it and our lawful basis
We use your data to respond to your enquiry, attend your property, carry out the work and take payment (performance of a contract, or steps taken at your request before entering one). We keep invoices and related records to meet tax and accounting obligations (legal obligation). We may also use your details to deal with complaints or disputes (legitimate interests).
Who we share it with
We do not sell your data. We share it only where needed to provide the service, for example with our locksmiths, our payment provider, our accountant and the providers of our phone, email and messaging services. Where you have accepted cookies, visit information is processed by Google, which may transfer it outside the UK under its own safeguards. If you contact us through WhatsApp, your messages are also handled by WhatsApp under its own privacy policy.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not lead to a job are deleted within 12 months. Job and invoice records are kept for six years after the end of the relevant financial year, as required for tax purposes.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to access your data, have it corrected or erased, restrict or object to its use, and receive a copy in a portable format. To use any of these rights, email us at the address above. We will reply within one month.
Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, please contact us first. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The current version is always available on this page.
